Jamie Fontaine was born and raised in California. She graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Drawing and Painting in 2011. In 2012, she decided she wanted to teach full-time and earned her California Teaching Credential in Single Subject Art from San Jose State University. After living in New York for three years, she has returned to California with a Masters in Art Education. Jamie continues her daily practice of making art in her home studio in San Diego with her family. She enjoys long walks with her rescue dog and taking her son and husband hiking and to art galleries. She loves breakfast, yoga, and documenting her travels with her Sony Mirrorless A5000. Her work has been shown at the Alexander Salazar White Box Gallery, Downtown San Diego; The University Art Museum, Long Beach, and the Gatov Gallery at CSU Long Beach.
